A show-case cabaret. Attractive and stimulating establishment. The interior design is the "signature" of The Skylight Room. The cabaret acts are first class. Some big names perform regularly at this place. The music repertoire is varied and encompassed the traditional and the innovative. Very pleasant ambiance and the staff service is generally very amicable. Skylight Room is one of the best spots in New York city, for it offers an astonishing avalanches of different performers on a weekly basis. The food is delicious, the appetizers are highly recommended, the waiters, waitresses and bartenders really take care of their customers,  the prices are very reasonable, the general feeling you get from the ambiance and atmosphere is relaxing and intimate. Most definitely, Skylight Room is a terrific cabaret and live music venue.  Go early. The place is always packed.

Lorna Dallas (Photo left), Sally Mayes, Baby Jane Dexter, Steve Ross, Daryl Sherman, Betty Buckley and many big names in the entertainment and showbiz performed at the Firebird Cafe. This stunning place have three separate and delightful sections under one roof: 1-The dining room area which is dressed up with china, crystal chandeliers and ancient Russian icons, relics, manuscripts and fascinating rare books.  2- The parlor is furnished with antique European chairs and sofas of an eclectic style and taste.  The parlor is very welcoming and extremely comfortable. 3- The grand ballroom area is magnificently decorated and ornate with a refined taste.  It has a domed ceiling and skylight. The cuisine is Russian. The food is superb and delicious, particularly the mushroom Vareniki, the roasted breast of duck, the chicken Tabaka along with the Ukrainian white smoked pork loin.  Firebird Cafe is a fantastic, magnificent and captivating place. It has all the elements and characteristics of a world-class cabaret, boite, restaurant, pub, bar, show floor, all elegantly and magically combined under one roof; another great advantage. This place has some of the finest and most unusual international music repertoires from Europe and around the globe. Certainly, this musical wealth is a plus, a great plus, especially, when the overwhelming majority of cabarets and live entertainment venues in New York City offers exclusively American standards and traditional Broadway musical acts.  Once you visit the Firebird Cafe, you become addicted to it. This is a "must see" place. First class!!

Woody Allen with the Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band, Maria Friedman, Bobby Short (of course!) and top notch artists and entertainers performed at the majestic and spectacular Café Carlyle,  home to the legendary Bobby Short for more than  three decades and counting! The Café Carlyle symbolizes perfection in culinary arts. The cuisine is French. The menu is very clever. The food is absolutely out of this world. The interior decor is rich, harmonious, elegant, tasteful, imposing, yet very cozy and comfortable.  This is the premier high society cabaret venue in New York City.  Everything blends together in this place: The decor, the ambiance, the music repertoire, the cuisine, the service, the elegant presence of the  artists on stage, the dim lights, the colors of the walls...Everything blends  perfectly in utmost esthetical harmony, musical beauty,  charming and elegantly sensual cabaret ambiance, superb French cuisine  and impeccable wait staff service. 7-CAROLINE'S COMEDY CLUB ON BROADWAY. 1626 Broadway. Phone: 212-757-4100. Rating: 5 STARS. Genre: Comedy. Clientele age: From 25 to 50. Dress code: Smart casual.

New York’s most famous comedy club, for it hosts the top notch names in the comedy and satire entertainment business. This place launched the career of world famous performers. They started right there on the stage of the Caroline's!  Entertainers, comedians and performers like Eddie Murphy, Jerry Seinfeld, Kathy Griffin, Janeane Gorofalo and Chris Rock. The interiors and seating areas are comfortable. The food is all right. The drinks are reasonably priced. The club offers comedy entertainment for kids and children every Saturday and Sunday at 2: 00 pm. Admission fee is around $25 with two-drink minimum. A fun place! You will love it. It is hilarious!

8-COMEDY CELLAR, 117 MacDougal Street. Phone: 212-254-3480. Rating: 4 STARS.  Genre: Comedy. Clientele age: 25 to 50+. Dress code: Smart casual

Comedy Cellar crowns Greenwich Village. This is the New York's Mecca for funny stuff and funny people.  Expect to see sitting next to you some superstars, world famous comedians and motion pictures legends such as Robin Williams, Jerry Seinfeld, Shawn Wayans and John Stewart. By far, this is the most appealing and delightful comedy venue in New York City. Two drink minimum. The show schedules are:  9: 00 pm and 11: 00pm from Sunday to Thursday.  Friday:  8: 30pm, 10: 00pm, 11: 30pm and 1: 00am; Saturday 7: 00pm, 9: 00pm, 10: 45pm, and 12: 30am.
